Nicole Lake, RMT
Nicole Lake is both a Registered Massage Therapist, as well as a Certified Athletic Therapist (AT) working with our Physiotherapy team. She started with us as an AT in 2015, being registered with the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. She completed both an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, and a Bachelor of Applied Health Science in Athletic Therapy.
It was at the University of Guelph where she discovered she was able to combine a passion for both sports, and injury rehabilitation into a career. She has had the opportunity to work with many different types of high-level athletes and enjoyed the challenge of discovering each individual’s unique needs to get them back to peak performance. In 2017, she decided to continue her education, completing her Massage Therapy Diploma, to further advance her manual therapy skills. This program provided training in various Swedish massage techniques such as trigger point release therapy, deep tissue work, myofascial release techniques, and joint play. Nicole became registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 2018.
Nicole sees the athlete in each person and enjoys developing treatment programs including manual techniques, modalities and exercise prescription, tailored to everyone’s unique needs.
Nicole enjoys many different types of activities including being outdoors, either hiking or running, or taking in a hot yoga class! She looks forward to working with you to get you back to your favorite activities!
